The "Notorious Party Room"

THE Party Room has made CSC VII, VIII and IX respectively the first swing dance events with an improvized Foam-Party, rock concert like Crowd-Surfing and Tag-team pole-dancing contest. The Party Rooms are OPEN TO ALL participating in our event. Normally doors open when the band(s) finish playing. You can swing by to chat, jam, grab a drink or jump around and have a good time.

Our sponsors and the CSC team are proud to offer you not one but TWO Party Rooms: "Crazynuss Room" and "Lounge Room":

"Crazynuss" Room (under the VOLUNTEER leadership of Christine Normandin)

This is the original Party Room. It was born from Dee noticing, as he started travelling to major events at the start of his swing dance career that: "You show up at the event and a friend of yours will say 'Hey Dee, room 217 *wink*, you show up there and you see the event's teachers, friends and party animals and there is always free food or drink there... I would like to create a room where all the people at the event could feel like a VIP". And so the Notorious Party Room was born

You will find there:

1. - A Jacuzzi...  Sometimes at the core of impromptu foam parties
   

   - A DJ playing all sorts of music to get you jumpin' up and down like a college co-ed
   

   - A FREE bar serving drinks offered by CSC and it's sponsors
   

   - People jumping around
   

   
   

"Lounge" Room (Under the VOLUNTEER leadership of "Party" Matt Stephens)

As you may know, the CSC's mission is "Dance, Party, Challenge, Grow" but in order to grow you actually have to listen to those doing the other 3 things... Including those who Party!!! A few years ago at CSC V , a group from Toronto had offered to start a NEW party room. These generous dancers really liked CSC but felt that there was something missing, a room where the party would be a little more "on the down low". The perfect place for Blues dancing till the early morning, jammin and playing music with friends, talking without screaming with music a little more low key not like teh BOOM BOOM of the "Crazynuss' room. And so the "Lounge Room" was born.

 

You will find there:

- A two floor Suite with mini kitchen

- Jam Sessions

- Wine, Cigare and Hookah tastings

- Friendly Casino style games

- Surpises in a relaxed atmosphere

Christine Normandin

Meet the rookie. Do not be fooled by her serious and calm appearance, she is a serious party animal! She basically invented the saying "work hard, play harder". As a super serious law student by day, she manages extreme transitions well such as playing baroque music, bathing in the snow, checking the neighbors recycling bin for discarded works of art, drinking 15 cups of coffee or touring India with a back-pack. Do not be afraid to chat her up cause' she loves discussing life philosophies... Even better, ask her to fix you a drink while you are discussing it! She is always happy to jump over the bar and ensure you are having a good time! Curious? This is only the beginning!!!

"Party" Matt Stephans

"Party" Matt Stephans is the owner and manager for Competition Unlimited. With more than a decade of running and planning events, he has become a master at tournament design. After getting the Austin exchange into the Big Leagues and having been a regular at Monsters of Swing for many years, it was only a matter of time before he also became a regular CSC fixture! He was the winner of our 2007 shooter and ran last year's Lounge Room with Barkley and our dear departed friend Corey. Come see why so many of his friends rely on Party Matt for a good time... After all, it's always a Party when there's Party Matt!
